The Writing Center works closely with Hollins students, at
any stage of the writing process and in any discipline, by talking through
ideas, reading written work out-loud, and working as a team to improve writing
in specific assignments as well as over time. We strive to create an environment
that is both comfortable and conducive to learning.

SPRING HOURS POSTED!
New spring hours have been posted! If you are interested in a session
but these hours don't fit into your schedule, please contact Interim Coordinator

JTERM HOURS!
Writing Center tutors are available during J-Term by appointment only.
The Center for Learning Excellence does not have regular hours during J-Term.
Regular hours will resume when the semester begins next month.

Walk-in appointments during posted hours may not be available.
Other daytime hours may be available by appointment. Inform us of your off-hours
request one business day in advance of your desired appointment time and we will
accommodate you if possible.
Our tutors are an exhaustible resource. Please do not expect an
appointment if you arrive less than an hour before the end of our posted hours.
ALSO:
Emailed appointments are
sometimes delayed on the server and we do not get them for hours or days after
they are sent.
Please consider calling our extension first to ensure that your
email has not gotten lost!
