Participants engage in compiling life stories from
community members using some of the questions listed below.
Compiling the life stories is one of the ongoing projects for Big Creek
People in Action (BCPIA). The recordings remain in the library at BCPIA. Sample Interview questions: A. The following questions were asked by students in their initial life story interview. These questions were selected from a compiled master list created by the students. What is your name and where did it come from? What does it mean? Where are you from? Tell me about your childhood. Tell me about your family. Tell me about your education. What led you to become a farmer? Describe a typical weekday. How has your experience of farming changed over time? B. Probe Questions: Tell me more about... Can you elaborate on that? What does that mean to you? How did you feel about that? Did that influence you? If so, how? |
