position of Head Women’s
Volleyball Coach, with duties as
a physical education instructor,
beginning early in 2010. This
position is a full-time,
ten-month, non-tenure-track
faculty appointment reporting to
the Director of Athletics.
The head
coach will be responsible for
the overall development and
management of the newly added
varsity program, which will
enter its inaugural season in
the 2010-2011 academic year.
Coaching duties include
the recruitment and retention of
academically and athletically
qualified student-athletes in a
rigorous academic environment,
practice planning and
implementation, scheduling, team
travel, and budget management.
Teaching duties will
include a variety of physical
education activity courses.
Preferred
qualifications include a
master’s degree in physical
education or a related field;
previous physical education
instruction and coaching
experience at the collegiate
level;
thorough understanding
and working knowledge of NCAA
regulations; valid and clear
driver’s license; strong
communication skills; ability to
work within the framework of
ODAC policies and NCAA rules and
regulations; and willingness to
work on projects with faculty,
administrators, and staff.
A successful candidate
must also demonstrate effective
teaching methods and excellent
leadership, organization, and
interpersonal skills.

assistant professorship in
general business starting in
fall of 2010.
Candidates
are sought who are
well-rounded with scholarly
expertise in either marketing or
organizational behavior, and who
are effective teachers with
demonstrated interest in
contributing to a rigorous,
liberal arts curriculum.
The
successful candidate will be
expected to teach courses in
marketing, organizational
behavior, human resources,
and/or women and
entrepreneurship depending on
expertise.
Hollins business faculty members

six-course load includes

multi-genre creative writing
courses, graduate tutorials in

literature, as well as thesis
advising.
Hollins University

The
department seeks an experienced
teacher who has a demonstrated
commitment and passion for both
undergraduate and graduate

A Ph.D. in literature or
a terminal degree in creative
writing is required.

have at least one book-length
publication in fiction and
substantial journal publications
in poetry.
