In order to have a successful online learning experience, students enrolled in online classes at Hollins University should be able to do the following things:

  • Connect to the internet using a reliable internet service provider.

  • Navigate the internet using Netscape or Internet Explorer.

  • Use an email provider that works well with attachments and know how to read e-mail attachments.

  • Have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

  • Download appropriate plug-ins (Click here for plugin links)

  • Scan images and documents.
