My name Mandy Lynch and I am a senior here at Hollins University. Originally I am from Richmond, Virginia. I spend most of my life, well ALL of my time, riding horses. The Hollins Riding Program, the academics and the impressive reputation of Hollins graduates is what really attracted me here. I am majoring in Sociology with a concentration in Social Psychology. This is one of my first anthropology classes and I have thoroughly enjoyed it. My only regret is that I did not discover this discipline earlier in my Hollins career.                                                                                                                                               

      Hollins has had a tremendous influence on me. I have found that the women here are more motivated than anyone I have ever met before and have inspired me to be the same. I feel this project has given me much more knowledge about a subject that has become increasingly interesting to me.
