My name is Brandi Robertson and I am a Senior
Horizon student. I started out as a traditional age student 6 1/2 years
ago but couldn't decide what direction I wanted to go...being a victim
of the school transfer game and never having just enough credits to
graduate I have drifted many different directions and now I am here, as
a Hollins adult student, it's pretty comical when you think about it. I
am majoring in Business, Communications and Technology and finally
graduating this spring. I will be the first person in my entire family
to acquire a bachelors degree. I took this class as a requirement but it
has been one of the best "requirement" classes I have had.
I have a four year old son, Aidan who can sure be a handful but he makes
every day more fun than I could have even imagined. He is already
displaying the wit and sarcasm he inherited from his mother!

I have worked in activism before coming to Hollins as a
therapist for children with Autism, mental retardation, and emotional
disorders. Although I don't think I will go back to this field of work
it has shaped how I view people who work to help others.
