The Early Years Community School Farm Life Words of Wisdom |
Linda Lawson Thornton has been involved in Alternative Education since her senior year at Hollins University (1971-2). After she got her masters from Brown University and spent her first year teaching at the Albany Academy for girls in New York, she returned to Roanoke and the Community School. She serves as Chief Financial Officer of the family warehouse (H.L. Lawson and Son, Inc.) and divides the remainder of her time to the family farm and Community School. She has served as director of Community School and six years ago became the director of Community High School. |
