Linda on Activism:
As a product of the late 60’s and 70’s that term speaks to me of people who take extreme positions. And that I’ve always admired them in the sense that they’re willing to sort of stick their neck out in a place it doesn’t belong, because that’s the only way you move the center forward. But I’m generally too rationally inclined to be very invested in that. It may appear that I have done that, but I’m not a very extremist. I don’t think of myself as being an extremist in the positions I take.
Busy lady:
I do think that I’m a better parent by virtue of having other things going on in my life. And I was a better teacher by not doing it 100% of the time because burnout is a real thing.
Change:
Change happens one person by one person, individual to individual. It doesn’t happen because you go out there and beat a drum, per se. Change happens because you believe in it.
