Research Questions
Some of the questions to be explored as part of this
research include:
- What kinds of social change work have Hollins alumnae
engaged in since graduating?
- Do Hollins alumnae think of themselves as ‘activists’,
and if so, how do they define that term.
- What are their motivations for engaging in social
change work?
- In what ways to race, class, gender, nationality and
education influence their social action?
- In their life histories, what types of framing devices
do women utilize to talk about and understand their social change work over
their life trajectories?
- How do these women see their (single sex) education at
Hollins as informing the social change work that they have done/are doing?
