                  I was delighted to learn of this project. I have been an activist for many years and find that among my peers from childhood and including college years there are relatively few of us who identify as such.  Thus i think it is critical that those of us who do speak about our lives and work whenever possible - and since many people don't associate southern women as activists - although historically there have been many of great importance - i was happy to contribute the little bits from my life to that effort."
