General Background

Floyd is originally from Farmville, Virginia.  He grew up in Northwest Roanoke and graduated from Lucy Addison High School.  He has worked at Hollins since 1986.  

Vietnam: One Man's Experience 

Floyd served in the 11th Armored Calvary Unit in Vietnam.  This unit is commonly known as the Blackhorse.  Here is a part of the story he told me.
