Old Empty Chicken Coop
Wilton: Had horses, chickens, we had a lot of chickens, we raised chickens by the hundreds. Sold them for a dollar a piece.....go to the market, put them in a coop, about 30 in a coop. People buy them, had paper bags, we cut holes in them bags, stick the chicken in there, with the head sticking out of the paper bag, feet tied, and they would carry them home in the back with them...I took the chickens to the store too. Trade them for sugar, or coffee, and maybe sometimes a lil chewing tobacco on the side.....(LAUGHTER)
