"Girl and Bird (Tangled or unabridged)." It started from a story I wrote in creative writing. Creative writing helped me to choreograph this piece-my first piece ever. The girl has a pet bird and the story unfolds from there.

Nancy Forshaw-Clapp....this is not a piece/pigeon video....

"In Search of Purple tunneled wymin". "This 2 be Wind". These pieces are universes created by the curve of wymin and the native tongue of moon lovers. It is the music of movement and words.

"USA Dance". It opens up a new life from lemon women. I love the imagery, the tiny things that can be translated into a million languages. The women associating with those languages in a fake manipulative kind of way. The inspiration for this piece was the 6 women I worked with, and stream of consciousness. Spacing, openess, and voices were important.

"RED/EMPTY/WISH/MOUTH." Isabel Lewis

"Intermission." I started this last fall thinking about theory of relativity, time, void, the anxiety that is caused by all of that, and the thought of every second occuring simultaneously. The meaning for me is the tension between voyeurism and narcissism.
Jillian Dahl Pena

"Graga's Poem." Inspired by a poem my great-grandmother wrote for me when I was three years old. The piece explores my memories of my grandparents from when I was younger, and stories I was told about by them. It is in a sense a gift for them. Poem- Jennifer, Jennifer my little girl; Popped right up without a curl; She's bubbly and cuddly all the way through; She reminds me of someone I once knew. If she dances on her toes I will surely know; For God up in Heaven will tell me so.
