Steps to set up Maple 9 Client Software on a Computer

You must be connected to the Hollins network.

Double click on the My Network Places icon on your desktop (called Network Neighborhood in earlier version of Windows)

Double click WinClientSetup or WinClientSetup.exe  to start the setup program.

On the introduction screen click Next

On the Choose shortcut folder screen we recommend using the default:

Click Install

When the install completes,  click Done.

Maple 9 provides users with two worksheet interfaces. Both have access to the full mathematical engine of Maple 9 and take advantage of the new functionality in Maple 9.

By default, worksheets open in the enhanced and more modern Standard Worksheet.

Standard Worksheet

The Standard Worksheet contains the full-featured interface. To access the Standard Worksheet, click the Standard Worksheet Maple 9 icon  .

Or, using Windows menus:

·        From the Start menu, select Programs>Maple 9>Maple 9.

Classic Worksheet

To use the classic version, click on the classic icon  on your desktop.

The Classic Worksheet provides a basic worksheet environment for older computers with limited memory. To access the Classic Worksheet, using Windows menus:

·        From the Start menu, select Programs>Maple 9>Classic Worksheet Maple 9.

In Windows, you can change the program that is used to open a worksheet when you double-click on it.  To do this:

On the taskbar click on Start;  Programs;  Maple 9;  Tools;  Worksheet File Association Selector.   Select the program you want to open your files.
