Abbie Fisher Abbie Fisher is from Charlotte, NC. She is a member of the class of 2009. Her current majors of choice are English and Art History. She likes, reading, writing, and knitting fuzzy things. She also likes professing her undying love for Hollins to prospective students and Habitat for Humanity. Her mom is a math teacher, so she grew up doing puzzles and playing math-type games. She loves being a tutor and will be thrilled to help you out if you come into the QR center. Jocelyn Bedow Jocelyn Bedow is from Fauquier County, Virginia. She is a sophomore majoring in International Studies and Math. She is a member of the swim team and plays flute and piccolo in the orchestra. She loves listening to music, traveling, going for long drives, and just hanging out with her friends. Olivia Berrier Olivia is a double major in creative writing and math. She is an O-team leader, a Lord of the Rings fan, and a proud member of the class of 2011. Tyne Hovda Tyne Hovda is a sophomore from Minneapolis, Minnesota. She's currently majoring in biology and minoring in math. She hopes to follow in her mother's footsteps and become a veterinarian someday. Tyne has been riding horses since she was 3 and is a member of the Hollins Equestrian Team. Mallory Potock Mallory is a double major in Business and Communication Studies from Boulder, Colorado. She is working towards her academic certificate from the Batten Leadership Institute and is also active in the admissions office. Sarah Pena Sara is a Sophmore from Austin, Texas. She likes to problem solve- especially when it comes to math and push through any challenge that it might present. Allyson Stephens A member of the class of 2010, is originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She plans to double major in math and chemistry and hopes to one day be a dentist! Allyson has always enjoyed math, but since coming to Hollins, math has found a special place in her heart. She enjoys the wind in her hair on a sunny summer day, bike rides around the loop, rockin’ out to Queen with her roommate, smiling, laughing, and strawberry chapstick! Allyson is looking forward to being a sophomore and a tutor so that she can spread the “math love” one tutoree at a time! - Allyson is currently abroad in London for Fall 2008 |

Caroline Walz From Richmond, Virginia. She is a member of the class of 2010, and plans on majoring in Biology. In her spare time she likes to read, watch movies, nap, and play with her cat Layla. If you see her suddenly stop walking and seemingly stare into nowhere, she is probably just observing the wildlife. She loves having company, and hopes you come to see her in the QR center!
