Duties: The core assignment for the role is to assist in the development of marketing programs for college campuses throughout the U.S. During the month internship, the student will participate in weekly Region Asset meetings, attend applicable brand/marketing/company meetings, will work with the Sr. Marketing Manager for Colleges on projects for 1st quarter activation, research materials needed for projects in development and a variety of other functions.

Qualifications:  Major in one of the social or behavioral sciences (e.g., psychology or sociology) or natural sciences (e.g., biology); knowledge of the research process, either by work experience or a course on research methods; ability to conduct literature searches and data entry; good oral and written communication skills; interest in the field of violence prevention or public health approaches to social problems

 

Duties:  Attend research team and branch meetings, content area workgroup meetings (e.g., child maltreatment, youth violence, violence against women, suicide), and other research meetings; assist behavioral scientists with literature searches, data entry, data coding, screening of abstracts; participate in conference calls with outside researchers;  possible opportunities to create own research project within larger project (for advanced student interns)
