Wed., Nov. 14        The Challenge Job & Internship Fair                  Wyndham/Roanoke Airport Hotel, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Attention juniors and seniors!  Join recruiters from top companies and organizations who are looking to hire December and May graduates as well as interns.  Cost to attend is $5
and advance registration is required by visiting the Career Center.  Fees collected upon registration.  Please also bring a copy of the resume you plan to use for the fair.   Registration deadline:

Wed., Dec. 5          Virginia Association of School Personnel Administrators      Charlottesville Doubletree Hotel, 4:00 – 7:00 p.m.
The Virginia Association of School Personnel Administrators will be sponsoring a fall job fair that will include at least 40 public school districts from across the state.  Those attending
are looking to hire for both mid-year and 08-09 teacher, administrator, school counselor and other openings.  No advance registration is required.  For more information,

The Foreign Service Exam, offered through the U.S. Department of State, is now scheduled several times throughout the year.  Interested candidates must apply online and the window to register closes 48 hours prior to each test administration.  Current test windows fall in December 2007; March, June, August and November 2008.  To register for the exam as well as view specific test dates within these windows, visit the Department of State website at www.careers.state.gov.

Registering for the exam begins the process for entry-level Foreign Service Office positions within the DOS.

Shelburne Museum – Curatorial, Educational and Collections Management  Fellowships
Curatorial Fellowship:  This fellowship will receive hands on experience working with a diverse fine and folk art collection as well as participation in day-to-day Museum operations.  Candidates should have an art history background and experience in a museum or art gallery is preferred.  A Master’s degree is strongly preferred. 

Education and Collections Management Fellowship:  Fellows will assist in the development and implementation of education programs.
