ON-CAMPUS RECRUITING
POLICY AND PROCEDURES
-
Seniors are eligible to interview for career positions. All students are
eligible to interview for summer and temporary positions. A resume must
be submitted prior to the interview.
-
Students are expected to review company literature, prepare for the
interview, and take advantage of workshops and practice interview
opportunities.
-
Interviewees should report 10-15 minutes prior to the interview.
-
Signing up for an interview is a commitment. Improper preparation or
being a "no show" reflects negatively on the student, the Career
Center and Hollins. Students who do not report for scheduled
interviews will be expected to write a letter of apology to the
interviewer and may lose the privilege of interviewing with other
employers who come on campus.
-
Students should send thank-you notes after each interview. A typed note
is proper. Prompt responses to subsequent requests and correspondence
from the employer is also expected.
-
Report all job offers to the Career Center as soon as they
are received.
