Disaster Recovery

We have begun an evaluation and design of a Disaster Recovery Plan to ensure the continued operation of the University by providing the ability to successfully recover computer services in the event of a disaster.

Specific goals of the Plan relative to an emergency include:

    1) To detail the correct course of action to follow,

    2) To minimize confusion, errors, and expense to the

        University, and

    3) To effect a quick and complete recovery of services.

Secondary objectives of this Plan are:

    1) To reduce risks of loss of services,

    2) To provide ongoing protection of company assets, and

    3) To ensure the continued viability of this Plan.

Towards that end information such as on the form link below will be key to bringing up your area’s computing systems in the event of an emergency.  All information is to be described in as much detail as possible to ensure all pertinent information is acquired.

Grant News

One of the missions of the CIT committee is to enhance technology in the classroom.  Towards that end there may be a need for additional funding outside the realm of what the University can provide for projects, trials, research, etc.  On a regular basis, we will post documents which you may download that provides extensive grant opportunities.  The CIT Committee will assist in any way possible towards obtaining grants.  If you see a grant which is of interest to you or a project you wish to mentor and would like the assistance of the CIT Committee please contact your division representative and he/she will involve the other members to help you achieve your goal.
