The Hollins University Department of Campus Safety Dispatch Center provides around the clock telecommunications services to the university community. Dispatchers receive emergency and non-emergency calls for service through many avenues of communication to include the university emergency '6911' line, emergency call boxes located around the campus, non-emergency telephone lines, two way radio communications, university cell phones, and the general university switchboard lines. Dispatchers have direct contact with the Roanoke County Communications Center to summon police, fire and rescue services. |

Melissa “Missy” Smith |

Missy Smith serves as the Dispatch/Office Supervisor. Missy oversees the dispatchers and handles administrative duties associated with the Campus Safety Office. |

Mavis Dempsey |
|
Mavis works on the evening shift during weekdays and on the day shift over the weekends. Mavis has been at Hollins since 1999 and has past dispatching experience with public safety agencies. |

Donna “Renee” Chaffin |
|
Renee works on the midnight shift. Renee has been a university dispatcher since 2000. |

Jennifer Carter |
|
Jennifer works on the evening shift and the midnight shift. Jennifer was employed by Bright Services but has now joined the Hollins team. |
