Spanish. The Spanish placement test consists of the following sections:

a)      Listening comprehension (respond in writing to five oral questions)

b)      Convert a series of sentences from the singular to the plural.

c)      Present indicative (fill in the blanks).

d)     Ser or Estar (fill in the blanks).

e)      Agreement (subject-verb, adjective-noun).

f)       Reflexive, direct, and indirect pronouns (rewrite sentences using pronouns).

g)      Preterite or imperfect (fill in the blanks).

h)      Present subjunctive or present indicative (fill in the blanks).

i)        Short answers (includes future, conditional, present and imperfect subjunctive, present perfect indicative, and reflexives).

j)        Short writing exercise (in answer to a general question).
